Brash Rebrand & Packaging for Roomify

Overview

Roomify’s mission was simple: eliminate the guesswork and clutter of moving into your dorm and make creating your space feel effortless. The goal wasn’t just to deliver your college gear in a box, but to deliver a feeling when that box arrived: relief, excitement, and a sense of freedom.

My role was to help evolve Roomify’s brand to appeal to a wider and more mature audience without losing the energy that made it beloved by students. Every detail, from the tone of voice to the texture of the packaging, was crafted to connect emotionally at each touchpoint of the customer journey. Brash, confident copy was paired with clean serif typography to strike a balance between playful and polished. I also art directed brand, lifestyle, and social media photoshoots, ensuring that imagery reflected the same sense of warmth, approachability, and excitement as the packaging and overall brand experience.

The packaging suite (shipping boxes, mailers, custom tape, and inserts) was designed as part of that sensory experience. Each piece invited delight, sparked curiosity, and turned an ordinary unboxing into a moment that felt thoughtful and human. The result was a brand world that met customers where they were—busy, in transition, and craving ease—and gave them a tangible sense of being taken care of.
